Rosie M. Roberts 69, a resident of Tucson, AZ formally of Silver City, NM entered eternal rest on Monday, March 1, 2010 at Carondelet Hospice and Palliative Care in Tucson, AZ. She was born March 1, 1941 to Francisco and Lucia (Richarte) Maldonado in Gila, NM. She is survived by four sons, Ron Laguna of Tucson; Arthur Laguna (Marian) of Santa Clara; Frank Laguna of Tucson; Richard Laguna of Sarasota, FL; her companion of 25 yrs. Jerry Scott of Tucson; one brother, Johnny Maldonado (Margaret) of Silver City; three sisters, Manuela Valdiviezo (Felix) of Lordsburg; Tina Jaramillo (Joe) of Tucson; Mary Vasquez (Ralph) of Silver City; sixteen grandchildren, Joseph, Renee, Michael, Bernadette, Monique, Rudy, Aimee, Briana, Jennifer, Monica, Christopher, Patrick, Juan, Thomas, Steven and Michelle; five great-grandchildren, Kameron, Isaiah, Joselyn, India and Angelica. She was preceded in death by her parents, two sons, Johnny and Steve Laguna; three brothers, Severo, Aurelio, and Luis Maldonado. Visitation will be Friday, March 5th from 4-7pm at Terrazas Funeral Chapels with the prayer vigil to begin at 7pm with Deacon Bill Holguin reciting the prayer vigil and holy rosary. The funeral liturgy will be celebrated Saturday, March 6th at 9am at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church with Father Rod Nichols officiating. Pallbearers will be Joseph, Michael, Christopher, Stephan Ray, Patrick and Briana Laguna. Inurnment will follow at 4pm at St.Vincent Catholic Cemetery.
