Mrs. J. F. McSweeney. age 58 died at 9:35 p.m. yesterday at her home. 613 Grant avenue, after an illness of five weeks. She had been at St. Francis hospital for treatment, but returned to her home two weeks ago.

Elizabeth Sheehan was born April 4, 1864 at Cincinnati O. Came with her parents to Independence, IA in 1872. On April 15, 1884 she was married to John F. McSweeney and the couple came to Waterloo in April 1892. She was an active worker in Sacred Heart Church and a member of Catholic Order of Foresters.

Surviving are the husband, retired captain of the Waterloo police department, and five children. They are: J. Frank McSweeney, Cedar Falls, Mrs. V.J. Rechtfertig, Ray J. McSweeney, Helen M., and Ralph D. McSweeney, Waterloo.

Funeral will be at 9 a. m. Thursday from the home to Sacred Heart church, where solemn requiem mass'will be celebrated by Rev. John M. Molloy. Burial will be in Calvary.
