Aura Ann Barton Rogers, 94, of Muncie, went to be with the Lord Saturday morning, February 20, 2010 at her home.
Aura was born August 18, 1915 in Owenton, Kentucky to the late Carlton and Grace Wilson. Aura was a homemaker and had also worked for the Red Dog Saloon and the Delaware Hotel. She was a member of Industry United Methodist Church. She was a wonderful cook and enjoyed sewing, gardening, and spending time with her family, especially her great-grandchildren, and being a mother to everyone.
Aura is survived by her loving husband of 34 years, Jack I. Rogers; five children;
Aura was preceded in death by her first husband, Carl Barton; a grandson, Matthew Shepp; and four sisters, and one brother.
Funeral Services to celebrate Aura's life will be 2pm Thursday, February 25, 2010 at Elm Ridge Funeral Home at 4600 W. Kilgore Ave, Muncie, IN. Burial will be in Elm Ridge Memorial Park.
