Their elder brother Major Oliver "Mayberry" also served from PA and toward the end of his service organized the 3rd Regiment in Blair County.
The Irvine family were railroaders from Blair County PA, especially around Tyrone and Duncansville. Lloyd's brother Alfred's railroad work brought him to D.C. where he was the station master, including during the assassination of President Garfield at the railway station.
Henry "Lloyd" was identified in the 1880 census in Carlisle PA and his death certificate from D.C. as a "clerk." It is not yet clear for whom he worked. But he followed his brother Alfred to the D.C. area a few years after Alfred had arrived.
Henry's wife Henrietta Patterson Irvine was the daughter of a merchant from Juniata. Her sister Isabella Lyon Patterson Eldridge is buried in Arlington National as Henry "Lloyd" is. Henrietta is buried close to Henry's brother Alfred in Congressional Cemetery in D.C.
Henry -- who evidently went by his middle name Lloyd -- and Henrietta had three children: Blanche, who served in the Marine Reserves; Robert; and Anne who married a Marine who became a general.
