He was the son of Cyrus Field Judson Sr. and Alice Condit-Smith. Cyrus Jr. served as a 2nd Lieutenant in the US Marine Corps during World War I. On the January 1920 census he was living in Irvington, New York with his grandmother, Isabella Field, and was employed as a clerk with a dockwright company. He married Virginia Needham on August 30, 1930 in Ithaca, New York and they had two children. He was the manager of the ALCOA Steamship Company in his later working years.
