VIRDEN - Ollie C. Taylor, 89, of Virden, formerly of Hettick, died Thursday, March 4, 2010, at Sunrise Manor in Virden.
She was born May 14, 1920, in Essex, MO, the daughter of James and Hydra Greer Darby. She married Orville Ellis and later divorced. She married Ralph R. Taylor in 1952; he preceded her in death in 1989.
She is survived by a son, Jerry (Esther) Ellis of Springfield, MO; three daughters, Jean (Keith) Hazelwood of Carlinville, Joan (Donald) Otten of Virden and Janet (Bob) Burrell of Metamora; blessed with 14 grandchildren; and a multitude of great and great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral service is 11:00 a.m. Monday, March 8, at Stults-Neece-Airsman-Hires Funeral Home in Palmyra, with burial in Hettick City Cemetery. Visitation is one hour prior at the funeral home.
