1942, 30 Mar: William B. Broach (25) b. GA enlisted at Atlanta, GA as a Private in the USAAF. He stated that he was Single; b. in Athens, Clarke Co., GA; weighed 154#; was 68" tall & had 2 years of college. He had been a Salesman.

1944, 27 Oct: William B. "Bill" Broach (27), while serving with the 425th Night Fighter Squadron, 9th Air Force, in France, was assigned to fly night missions with 1st Lt. Bruce Heflin as his Flight Officer in a Black Widow, a Northrop P-61-A10, named "TABITHA". Upon returning to their base, on this night, something went wrong on the final approach. They crashed. Neither survived.
