Lawrence served as a Technician Fourth Grade, Battery C, 567th AAA Automatic Weapons Battalion, Coast Artillery Corps, U.S. Army during World War II.

He resided in the District Of Columbia prior to the war.

He enlisted in the Army on June 18, 1943 at Fort Myer, Virginia. He was noted as being employed as a Technician and also as Married.

Lawrence died in the "Line Of Duty" of a non-battle related incident during the war.

He was originally interred in England and was later repatriated here on July 22, 1948.
