BOUNTIFUL--Cecil Alexander Carr, age 82, passed away April 15, 1995, in Bountiful, Utah.

He was born October 17, 1912, to Willard G. and Annie C. Carr. On August 18, 1933, he married Ivy Streeper in the Salt Lake Temple who passed away on September 22,

1990. On August 5, 1993 he married Lillian Alder.

Survivors include his wife, Lillian; his five children, Blaine S. (Marge) Carr, Centerville; Lowell C. (Carolyn) Carr, Bountiful; Maurine C. (Gary) Ward, Hyrum; Leslie C. (William) Jorgensen, Bountiful; Alex P. (Pam) Carr, Centerville; four brothers and one sister, Gallard C. (Viola) Carr, Farmington; W. Lamoni Carr, Salt Lake City; Sylvia C. (William) Tingey, Centerville; Vernon R. (Violet) Carr, Centerville; Venice J. (Audrey) Carr, Grand Junction, Colo.; 27 grandchildren; and 34 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Ivy; two brothers, two sisters, one granddaughter, and one-great-granddaughter.

Cecil was active in the LDS Church all his life with service as ward clerk, Seventies Quorum president, stake missionary, temple worker, dance director, teacher, and music. He was a member of a church study group for over 50 years.

He worked at ZCMI, the Utah State Capitol, Deseret News Press, Carr Printing Co., Professional Printing Service, and LDS Church purchasing. He served twice as president of Printing Industries of Utah and was one of the founders and first manager of Pioneer Credit Union.

He loved music. He was a member of the Wasatch Symphony Orchestra at the time of his death and also played with the West Valley Symphony Orchestra. He served as an usher for Utah Symphony Orchestra.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, April 19, at 11 a.m. at the Val Verda 6th Ward, 2651 So. 500 West, Bountiful. Friends may call Tuesday evening, April 18, from 6-8 p.m. at Russon Brothers Mortuary, 295 No. Main, Bountiful, and at the church Wednesday from 10-10:45 a.m. Interment at the Centerville City Cemetery.
