Son of Frank P. Chadick and Gertrude M. Ryan Chadick.

George served as a Lieutenant (Junior Grade) on PB4Y-2 patrol bomber (#59553), Crew #3, US Navy Patrol Bombing Squadron VPB-119, U.S. Navy during World War II.

He resided in Wilmington, New Castle County, Delaware prior to the war.

George was "Killed In Action" when his PB4Y-2, which was flying cover during the rescue operation of Lt. F. D. Murphy, crashed for an unknown reason over the LuiChou peninsula, China during the war. He was awarded the "Distinguished Flying Cross".

He was originally interred in Schofield Barracks, Hawaii and was later interred here on March 25, 1949.
