Elementary School. She was employed at Community Service Center and Barc Industries. In 1971, she was a member of the Girl Scout Troop #279. On June 14, 1986, she married Charles Sampo. He preceded her in death on Sept. 15, 1988. Carol was a longtime member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church.
In her younger years, she was very active in the Special Olympics and received numerous awards. Carol had a "superior knack" for making people laugh and smile and all who knew her will remember her wonderful sense of humor. Most precious in her life were family, friends and socializing.
Carol will be sadly missed by all who were "lucky" enough to have her enter their lives including two brothers and a sister-in-law, Ken Geil, Ohio; LeRoy and Mary Geil, Green Bay; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Rosella Evenson, Green Bay; Patti and James Hermann, Oconto; her nieces, Sandy (Terry) Kramer, Florida; Kim (Aaron) Schryock, Green Bay; Kendra (Robert) Glass, Ohio; her nephews, Phillip McFall, Colorado; Doug Geil, Ohio; Jim Evenson, Green Bay; her great-nieces, Kiri and Rose; her great-nephews, Ben, Henry, Simon and Quinn.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Charles Sampo; a brother, John Geil; a sister, Sandra Geil; and a sister-in-law, Florence Geil.
