Born in Jackson County, Ind., he came here 16 years ago from Philadelphia, Pa. He was a retired engineer with the B&O Railroad.

Survivors include two sons, Donald W., Philadelphia and John D., Roslyn, Pa.; a daughter, Mrs. Sharon K. Ewald, Washington; two brothers, Arthur O., Nashville, Ill., and Dennie Earl, Concord, Calif.; a sister, Mrs. Coral Banister, Fremont, Calif. and eight grandchildren.
