The funeral for Scott Linwood Halsey Jr., 29, of Athens will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Paul Catholic Church with burial in Roselawn Cemetery. Rosary will began at 7 p.m. Friday at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home and visitation will follow at 9 p.m.
Mr. Halsey died Wednesday, March 7, 2007, at the University of Alabama Hospital in Birmingham.
Mr. Halsey was born December 6, 1977 in San Antonio, Texas, to Scott Linwood Halsey Sr. and Lolita Manipes Halsey. He was a member of the St. Paul Catholic Church and was involved in church activities and Habit for Humanity.
He is survived by his parents, Scott and Lolita Halsey of Athens; two sisters, Jennifer Castro and Jolene Lewis, all of Athens; one nephew, Tristan Castro; three nieces, Renee Castro, Mya Lewis and Aliya Lewis, all of Athens; his grandfather, Harold Halsey of Russellville, AR; two grandmothers, Arlene Halsey of Russellville, AR, and Paulina Manipes of the Philippines; and several aunts and uncles.
