MRS. LAURA HINTON PASSES. Funeral services of Mrs. Laura Hinton, 89, who died at her home near Whitney at midnight Saturday were conducted at the Union Church at 11 a.m. Monday, with the Rev. J. L. Hallmark, pastor of the Ashville Methodist Church, officiating. Burial in cemetery at Union.

Mrs. Hinton was born at Ashville and had lived her entire life in St. Clair County. She was the widow of the late Bud Hinton, Confederate veteran, who served in the cavalry during the Civil War. She had been a member of the Methodist Church for more than 70 years. Surviving are one son, C. B. Hinton, St. Clair; and a half-sister, Mrs. Flora B. Morton, of McAllister, Okla.; and several nieces and nephews.
