Mrs. Anna Feile, 79, of 517 Smith St., Plymouth, died at the Plymouth Hospital Sunday afternoon after an illness of one week.
Born June 4, 1888 in Germany, she was a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Christian Gierke. She came to the United States as a young child with her parents.
The family settled in Plymouth where she attended St. John Lutheran School and graduated from Plymouth High school.
In September, 1913, she was married to Henry Feile in Plymouth. Following their marriage the couple lived in Plymouth, Manitowoc and Kewaunee. Mr. Feile died in 1942.
She returned to make her home in Plymouth in 1946.
Mrs. Feile was a member of St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Plymouth; a past treasurer of the Service Star Legion, and chairman of the Gold Star Mothers Chapter.
Survivors include one son, Clarence of Plymouth, and a step-daughter, Mrs. Athniel (Elise) Raquiet, Kiel. One son Norman, was killed in action in Europe during World War II, and two brothers and one sister also preceded her in death.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at St. John's Lutheran Church, Plymouth, the Rev. G.A. Karpinsky, associate pastor, officiating. Burial will be in the Schleswig Cemetery at Rockville.
Friends may call at the Wittkopp Funeral Home, Plymouth, from 2 p.m. Tuesday until 11 a.m. Wednesday and at the church from noon until the hour of services.
The Service Star Legion will hold a memorial service at the funeral home at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday.
