William was the son of Given Gamblin and Mary Taylor Gamblin.
On May 5, 1872 her married Catherine Jane Green and they had two children - William Joseph and Harriet E.
After the death of Catherine he married Rachel Ketchum, the daughter of Solomon Ketchum on September 12, 1886.
