It should be noted that the DOB on the headstone is incorrect. According to the DC, DOB was 11 April 1855. This corresponds with the information provided in several US Census records. Also, if Susan HAD been born in 1844, her mother would have only been 12 years old at Susan's birth, and Susan's youngest child, Seymour, would have been born when she was 54 years old. Both scenarios are not impossible, but extremely unlikely, supporting the 1855 DOB.
