Mary A. Church, 83, of rural Elk Point, South Dakota, formerly of Linn County, died on Monday, December 24, 2007, in Elk Point following a stroke. Services at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home, Cedar Rapids, by Chaplain Kim Vogel. Burial in Rogers Grove Cemetery, Ely.
Surviving are Ginny Brown of Elk Point, Peggy Stokes of Iowa City, Steve Mason of Las Vegas, and Brad Mason of Cedar Rapids; 29 grandchildren; two brothers; and her former husband John W. Church of Belle Plaine.
She was preceded in death by her parents; son Craig Mason; husband Kern Leser; two grandsons; two brothers; and two sisters.
Mary was a lifetime member of the American Legion Auxiliary, San Quentin Post 555, Ely, Iowa.
