Adra Griffin, 58, of San Mateo, died Tuesday, March 2, 2010, at Haven Hospice Roberts Care Center after an extended illness.

She was a native of Palatka and a lifelong resident of Putnam County. She was a member of Open Bible Baptist Church and a devoted Christian, having been a group leader for the Awana Club. She had retired after 35 years from the Putnam County School System, having worked as a teacher's aide at Browning-Pearce Elementary School and was a 1969 graduate of Crescent City High School.

She is survived by her father, Earl Griffin of Satsuma; sister, Pam Harvey of San Mateo; brother, John Griffin of Palatka; aunts, Olive Griffin of Blackshear, Ga., and Violet Thomas of Palatka; four nieces and nephews and one great-nephew.

Graveside services will be held 3 p.m., Thursday, March 4 at Oak Hill West Cemetery with the Rev. Jim Lyons officiating.
