A resident of Klamath Falls since 1919, who crossed the plains in 1862, Hiram Hamilton Folsom died at the family home in the Midland district following an illness for four days. He was 94 years old. He was born in 1860 in Strawberry, Iowa and led a colorful life in the profession of law. He was raised at Marysville, California where he was principal of the grammar school, and later superintendent of Yuba County Schools for several years. Following his preparations for the bar, he served in the US Commissioner's office in Juneau, Alaska, and was one of the few men in the United States qualified to practice law in the US Supreme Court. He also served for a time in the District Court, served for a time in the District Attorney's office in Juneau and later went into private practice in the Territory. Mrs. Folsom died several years ago. Surviving are an only daughter, Miss Muriel Folsom, who made her home with her father, and several nieces and nephews.
