EDWARD J. KETCHUM, age 81 of Hobart, passed away on Friday, Sept. 26, 2008.
He was a veteran of the U. S. Army and a retired Vice President of Transportation from Industrial Steel Construction. He was a member of Teamsters Local #142 and a past member of the Supervisors Club. He was an avid golfer.
Ed is survived by his wife, Carol Ketchum; 3 sons – William (Francis) Ketchum of Portage, Edward Ketchum, Jr. and Lynn David Ketchum of Hobart; 3 daughters – Karen (Ken) Perotta of Fox Lake, IL, Sue (Kevin) Medved of Hobart and Diana (Michael) Smith of Arlington Heights, IL; 22 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren; brother – Oris (Betty) Ketchum of Phoenix, AZ and sister – Adrian (Larry) Cohen of Elmhurst, IL; 3 step-daughters – Denise (Ron) Babcock of Crown Point, Carrie (Bob) Savage and LeAnn Plesha of Hobart.
He was preceded in death by the mother of his children, Lois Fagen.
Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, Sept. 30, 2008 at 10 a.m. at Burns Funeral Home, 701 E. 7th St., Hobart.
Interment in Calvary Cemetery, Portage.
Friends are invited to meet with the family on Monday from 2-8 p.m. at Burns Funeral Home.
