Luther Martin of High street, Florence, will have erected at each entrance to Spring Grove Cemetery, North Maple and Oak streets, two immense granite posts. These will be exact duplicates of the posts in front of the John M Greene hall and will be of Barre granite. They will be 10 feet in hight [sic] and will cost $1700. They will be presented to the cemetery association.

The funeral of Luther A Martin was held yesterday afternoon at his home in Florence, Rev F R Kent officiating. There was singing by a quartet comprising H H Chilson, E A Currier and F M and G H Readio. The bearers were William Rhood, William Howard, F D Keyes and Frank Todd of Bridgeport, Ct. Burial was in Spring Grove cemetery, and a Grand Army service was conducted at the grave
