Cynthia Rose Gardner was born Monday, May 31, 1965 in Morgan County, Alabama, to McKinley "Mack" Gardner and Bernice Olene Curtis Gardner. ~ Mrs. Olean, Cynthia Gardner

HARTSELLE — Joint funeral services for Mrs. Olean Gardner, 28, and her daughter, Cynthia, 3, victims of a traffic accident which occurred early Sunday morning, will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Johnson Chapel Methodist Church, Rev. Wade Whitlock and Rev. James Toone officiating. Burial will be in the adjoining cemetery, Peck directing.

Mrs. Gardner was killed in the accident and Cynthia died early today in Decatur General Hospital.

Survivors of Mrs. Gardner include, the widower, McKinley Gardner; a daughter, Jenny Gardner, both of Hartselle 4; father, Tommie Curtis, Lawrence, Mich.; a sister, Mrs. Margaret Ann Motes, Huntsville; two half-sisters, Miss Sharlotte Curtis, Lawrence, Mich.; Mrs. Faylene Brown, Kalamazoo, Mich.; five brothers, Chester and Randall Curtis, both of Lawrence, Mich.; Glenn and Aaron Curtis, both of Hartselle 4; James Gary Curtis, U.S. Army, Germany; step-mother, Mrs. Velma Curtis, Lawrence, Mich.; a step-brother, Quinton Craig, Kalamazoo, Mich.

Mrs. Curtis was a member of Holy Church of Christ.

Pallbearers will be cousins.

Survivors of the child include the father, McKinley Gardner, a sister, Jenny Gardner, both of Hartselle 4; grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Dallas Gardner, Cullman; Tommie Curtis, Lawrence, Mich.
