Jacob Elias Dinger was the son of Peter B. Dinger and Esther Stahlman.


He married Susanna Hunger on 14 May 1878 in PA.

Jacob Dinger died at Timblin of pneumonia on March 22, 1923, after an illness of five weeks. He was born in Ringgold township September 15, 1854, the son of Peter and Esther Stahlman Dinger. He was married to Susannah Hunger on March 14, 1878, at Ringgold. He followed farming and mining.

 

Nine children survive: Mrs. Lloyd Whitesell, James, Henry, William, Peter, Mary and Iva, all of Timblin: Frank Dinger of Punxsutaw- ney and Daniel of North Point. His wife also survives him and six grandchildren. Brothers and sisters include Eli Dinger of Dora, R. B. Dinger of Timblin and Mrs. Abbie Kuntz of Phoenix, Pa.

 

He was a member of St. James Lutheran church. Funeral services were held on March 26, 1922, the Rev. C. S. Brewer officiating and interment was made in St. James cemetery.
