ABBA Lucien Abba passed away on Monday, March 1, 2010. He was 82. He was the beloved husband of Dorothy Holloway Abba for 59 years. He was the son of the late Lucien Peter Abba and Conchetta Josephine Carderella. He was the father of Barbara Abba Hattier, Donald L. Abba, Michael J. Abba, Sr., and the late Robert S. Abba, Sr., and the father-in-law of Anthony "Mike" Hattier II, Jane Behrens Abba, and Sherri Zoller Abba. He was the brother of the late Augustine (Tenie) Moll. He was the grandfather of Anthony Hattier III, Cory Hattier, Donald Abba II, Ian Abba, Marie Abba, Michael Abba, Jr., Grace Abba, Robert Abba, Jr., and Nick Abba, as well as the step grandfather of Johnny Bergeron. He is also survived by 2 step great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. He was a veteran of the US Navy who served during WWII on the USS Moale and during Korea on the USS Princeton in squadron VFA21. He was a member of the USS Moale Association and National Elevator Local 16. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated in the Parlor of Jacob Schoen and Son Funeral Home, 3827 Canal St., on Thursday, March 4, 2010 at 12:00 PM. Visitation will begin at 9:00 AM.
