ROSE NICHOLS GOOD
Mrs. Rose Nichols Good was born on Dec. 12, 1852, at Peoria, Ill., and died Dec. 8, 1944, at Fort Thomas, Kentucky. If she had lived until Tuesday, which was her birthday, she would have reached the advanced age of 92 years. She was one of a family of eleven children.
In 1870 she was married to Alonzo Nichols and to this union were born two children, Roscoe, who died at the age of nine years, and Florence, who survives, and in whose home she spent the last twelve years of her life.
In 1883 Mr. Nichols died and she later married Jacob Good. To this union one son, Walter, was born.
During the time she lived east of Chariton she became a member of the Evangelical church, attending at Beulah chapel.
She is survived by her daughter, Mrs. Florence Prather, of Fort Thomas, Ky.; one son, Walter Good, of Kansas City, Mo.; four grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at the Dobbling funeral home in Fort Thomas on Saturday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock, and the body was brought to Chariton where final rites were held at 2:30 o'clock Monday afternoon at the Beardsley funeral home and burial was in the Chariton cemetery.
