Oscar Bisig, 50, died suddenly at his home in Brook Tuesday morning at 8:50, death being caused by a heart ailment.

Oscar was born at Lowell, Indiana, the son of Francina and Henry Bisig. In November of 1920 he was united in marriage to Alta Light, of Brook. They came to Brook to make their home in 1928. For a number of years he was employed in the Montgomery & Snyder drug store and the Gem Grocery. In 1939 the heart ailment forced him to give up his work.

He was a veteran of World War I, serving overseas with a medical detachment. He was a member and past-commander of the local American Legion Post and during the war years served as the post's service officer.

Surviving besides the widow are a daughter, Vivama, at home and a son, Lt. Wesley Bisig, of Fairfield, Calif., also three half-brothers.

Funeral services will be held at the United Brethren church, of which he was a member, Friday afternoon at two o'clock and burial will be made in Riverside cemetery.
