Mrs. Z. A. Atteberry died Friday night after a lingering illness. She had not been in good health for years, but during the last four months of her life she was bedfast. She was born in Missouri in 1840, was married to Z. A. Atteberry at the age of seventeen years and in 1871 they moved to Carroll county where they have since resided. The deceased was the mother of ten children, eight of whom, with the husband and father, survive to mourn her death. She united with the Baptist church early in life, later with the Free Methodist, but still later with the Christian church of Coon Rapids, being a consistent member, having the esteem of all. The children living are John, Thomas, James, Sephus, Mrs. Mike Ankenbauer and Mrs. Matt Yeager.

The funeral services were conducted Sunday afternoon in the Christian church by Elder Goodnight. A large audience was present and a goodly number followed the remains to the cemetery.

The following obituary has been handed us:

Anna Tilla Huckabay was born in Macon county, Missouri, August 7, 1840, and departed this life November 29, 1907 in Coon Rapids, Iowa, aged 67 years, 3 months and 22 days. Was married to Zephaniah Atteberry August 16, 1857, and came to Carroll county, Iowa, in 1871. To this union were born ten children, four of whom are gone on before her to the land beyond, leaving six children and the aged husband and father to mourn the loss of the loved one. Mrs. Atteberry became a member of the Baptist church in 1861 but there being no congregation of that faith in reach of her home, united with the Free Methodist church. After coming to Coon Rapids, she joined the Christian church and continued in that fellowship till her death. For many years she has been a constant sufferer and we cherish the hope that now amid brighter scenes she possesses a happiness that could never more have come to her in this land of shadows.
