North - Services for Rubye A. Jones, will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, May 25, 2001 at North United Methodist Church with burial in Riverside Cemetery. The Rev. Matt Rucker will officiate. The family will receive friends from 6-8 this evening at Culler-McAlhany Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to North United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 306, North, SC 29112.
Mrs. Jones died May 22, 2001. Born in Laurens County, she was a daughter of the late Austin and Zella Davis Abercrombie. She was a graduate of Winthrop College and a retired schoolteacher, having taught in North, Wagener and Saluda County school systems for 39 years. Mrs. Jones was a member of North United Methodist Church for 55 years. She was married to the late Earl S. Jones. Surviving are sister, Mrs. Rucia A. Cobb of Orangeburg; nieces and nephews.
