Husband of Trubie B. Weeke Anderson.

James, who resided at 227 Orchard Road, Newark, Delaware, served as a 2nd Lieutenant, 15th Infantry, 3rd Infantry Division, U.S. Army during World War II.

He enlisted in the Army on October 1, 1942 at Camp Edwards, Massachusetts.

He was "Killed In Action" at Colmar, France. He served with the Army for two years and three months at the time of his death.

He was decorated with the Purple Heart.

At the families request, his state of birth was added to his headstone (Rhode Island) instead of his state of residence (Delaware).
