Nellie McDowall Rites Feb. 5
Funeral services for Nellie McDowall, 79, of Bedford, held February 5 at Shum-Novinger Funeral Home in Bedford, were conducted by Rev. Ray C. McCain. Miss McDowall died February 3, 1972 at Clarinda Municipal Hospital. She had been in ill health for some time. Interment was at Lexington Cemetery.
Nellie McDowall, daughter of John and Helen Monie McDowall, was born March 9, 1892 near Conway, Iowa.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and brother, Samuel McDowall.
She is survived by twin sisters, Jane and Belle McDowall.She loved the farm and all that pertained to it. She will be greatly missed by her sisters and many friends.
She was a member of the Presbyterian Church for many years.
