On 20 Oct. 1637 prob. at Dorchester, Mass., Redegon m. as his first wife, Dea. John Capen, only surviving s. of Bernard Capen & Joan Purchase to immigrate to New England. He was bapt. 26 Jan. 1612/3 at Dorchester in Dorset, England and d. 4 Apr. 1692, Æ 80, at Dorchester, Mass. They had the following two children at Dorchester, Mass.:
• i. Joanna Capen, b. 3 Oct. 1638 (bapt. 4 Nov.); d. in infancy 19 Nov. 1638.
• ii. Lieut. John Capen, Jr., b. 21 Oct. 1639 (bapt. 29 Oct.), d. 8 June 1707, Æ 68, at Dorchester, Mass.; m. 19 Nov. 1663 Susanna Barsham, dau. of William & Annabell Barsham of Watertown, Mass., b. 28 Jan. 1641/2. She survived her husband. Twelve children of the family.

Redegon has no known burial marker. If she had one it understandably long ago crumbled away.
