Shawn Edwin Fields, 39, of Elkview left this Earth on Sunday, Feb. 14, 2010.
He was an employee of Columbia Gas, as well as an avid outdoorsman who loved to hunt, fish and golf. He especially enjoyed fishing on the Williams River with his son, brother, friends and family members.

His proudest moments were watching his children grow up. He witnessed his daughter flourish into a beautiful young woman and taught his son the basics of football and how to hunt and fish.

He loved having cookouts, cooking on the grill, campfires with friends, family and just enjoying the outdoors.

He loved his mother, father and brother very much.

He is survived by his wife, Stacy Fields; son, Jacob "Jake" Fields at home; daughter, Courtney Fields at home; parents, Ron and Dorsil "Dee" Fields of Elkview; a brother and his wife, Jason and April Fields of Elkview, and their children, Page and Logan; and a host of aunts, uncles and cousins.

Service will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 17, at the Hafer Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Marvin Estep officiating. Burial will be in Elk Hills Memorial Park, Big Chimney.

Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
