Death of James Allen Causes Much Sorrow
The death of James Allen, which occurred Thursday of last week at the home of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Allen, near Williamson, was a cause of much sorrow to the many friends of the family. Mr. Allen was 31 years old and had been in bad health for a long while. The funeral service was conducted at the home by Rev. J.W.R. Jenkins and interment was in the Baptist cemetery here on Friday. Besides his parents he leaves four sisters, Mrs. R.S. Dupree of Zebulon, Mrs. Virginia McLucas of Williamson, Mrs. Louise Smith of Thomasville, and Mrs. Estelle Blanton of Haralson and two brothers, Hugh and Dewitt Allen of Williamson.
