Jesse was born in McRae, Georgia, to Gussie M. Peavey and the late Addie Roy Peavey. He was the father of eight children: Kathryn Gritton, Sandy; Jackie Applebury, Torrance, Calif.; Deborah Jones, Midvale; Bonnie Maas, Superior, Colo.; Donald Peavey, New Hartford, New York; LeNae Peavey-Onstad, Russelville, Kentucky; Geniel Peto, Salt Lake City. Preceded in death by a son, Roy Wayne Peavey. Also surviving are sisters: Mrs. Kendrick (June) Campbell, Tremonton; and Mrs. Sam A. (Joyce) Clark, Logan; and one brother, Bobby Darrell Peavey, San Jose, Calif.
Jessie shared the love of many close friends including his extended family and little Lataja. He was a World War II Veteran who loved country music, comedy and children. He was a gifted carpenter and handyman. His quick it and humor will be missed by many.
Our heart-felt thanks to MICU, 4th West, and Radiology, as well as other patients, for the loving, compassionate care Jesse and his family received during his short illness at the Veterans Hospital.
Memorial services Wednesday, 11 a.m. February 7, 1996 at Utah Veterans Park, 17111 So. Camp Williams Road, Bluffdale, Utah. Viewing will be held from 10-11 a.m. Interment 12 noon.
