Graveside services for Blanton Standefer, 70, former resident of Newcastle was injured in an automobile accident and died two days later. Rev. Dan Johnson of Weatherford officiated the services. Mr. Blanton moved from Newcastle in 1936 and settled in Olney. He was associated with Jager-Larimore Lumber Company several years and later with Jones and Laughlin Supply company. He moved with his family to Abilene in 1952 and was associated with Halliburton Oil Well Supply company. He retired in Irving in 1971. He was a member of the McArthur Baptist church.
Survivors: daughter - Sandra Honeycutt of Lubbock; two sons - Jon of San Diego and Stephen of Garland; three grandsons.
