Wilbur Roland Bouillez, 90, of Long Creek, died Jan. 28, 2010, at his home. A private memorial service is planned at a later date.

Mr. Bouillez was born in Fontanet, Ind., on July 24, 1919, one of nine children born to Joseph and Mary (McGranahan) Bouillez. While he was a young, the family moved to Oakland, Calif.

In October 1941 he married (Celia) Darlene Fuller.

In Jan. 1942, he was drafted into the U.S. Army, serving overseas as a member of the 70th tank battalion until July 1945.

He worked for Jacuzzi Pumps and then the U.S. Postal Service in 1949, from which he retired in 1972 as the director of personnel.

Upon his wife Darlene's death in 1987, he began spending part of the year with his daughter's family in Long Creek, eventually making it his full-time home.

He enjoyed helping out on the ranch and spending time with his granddaughters.

Survivors include his daughter, Beverly (Richard) Courchesne of Long Creek; granddaughters, Danielle and Amanda Courchesne of Star, Idaho; one brother; and three sisters.
