Ollie Frances Payne was born March 28, 1881 in Jackson County, Tennessee. She was the daughter of John J. Payne and Elizabeth Frances Keith. Her father was an educated man and served as a teacher, a lawyer, judge and justice of the peace. She married Nathan Chaffin, who was the son of Fox Chaffin and Jane Fox, on September 29, 1901. They had five children: Comer, Lora Dee, Atta Bill, Minna Lee and Elizabeth Jane. After nine years of marriage Nathan died in 1910 of consumption. Ollie Married Amos Suil Mayberry May 24, 1911 in Lebannon, Wilson, Tennessee. They had 8 children. Ollie died of heart failure after a bout with cancer. The Mayberry name is often spelled different. Some spell it Mabery. Mabery may be the spelling on the headstone.
