Notes
In the 1850 census taken for the Peter Myers household (see copy attached) there are several people living in the household with he and his wife Mary. John Poyser (Poiser) age 24, his brother William age 22 who later became George Myers Sr.'s guardian, ? Poyser age 18 and John Smith age 19. Also there was a Sarah Myers age 68 listed who may have been Peter's mother or grandmother. However, although Peter is show as coming from Maryland to Ohio, Sarah is shown as coming from Pennsylvania to Ohio??
In the 1860 census the last lisiting for Peter's household appears to be a James ? age 22. Normally if the person had a different last name (see copy of 1850 census), it would be shown. This may infer that James was a Myers which could make him Peter's younger brother or a cousin?
In the 1870 census Peter is now married to Catherine and all but one (Louis) of the children from his first marriage are still living with them. This is the first census for George Welty Senior.
