Born and lived in Tacoma, WA and lived most of his life here and Spokane.

He enlisted in the Army 29 May 1918 at RA Ft. George Wright, and served in Company H 44th Infantry. He claimed to be 20 10/12m old, but I'm pretty certain he was only 15!! He was honorably discharged 10 Jun 1918.

Frank married Elsie Bloomfield 11 Jun 1919 in Washington State. They raised 4 childen, James E., Jean J., Frank James Jr. and Dorothy J. in Tacoma before moving to Spokane by 1945, where he founded and was the general manager of the Mary Ann Bakery.

He loved baseball and was a huge supporter of youth baseball in the Tacoma and Spokane areas.

In 1963 he married Emily Caprye. Franks last residence was in Bellevue, King, WA.

I was blessed to know him. I had the chance to visit him in Washington and visit with him in Long Beach, California on an almost annual basis as a kid and young woman. He was very close to his sisters. He was very personable, kind and generous, patriotic and loved his family and keeping active. He is missed very much.

Frank was cremated and his ashes interred with his grandson James Russel at Mountain View.
