He had a special talent for masonry and rock work and his hobbies included hunting, fishing and camping. He enjoyed spending time with his family and had a great love for genealogy.
Survived by children, Alice Tarron, Betty Tanner, Merla Jensen and Ernest Stapley. 15 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, brothers & sisters Orlen Evans, Lola Fancher, Kenneth Stapley, LaReta Justet, Orley Stapley, Robert Stapley, Barbara Beal, Richard Stapley and Fran Olson. Step-brother Glen, stepsister Margie; many nieces & nephews.
Preceded in death by parents; wife Betty, daughter Connie; sisters Thelma Condie and Jackie Barnes; brother Rulon & stepbrother Lynn.
