4 Feb 2007: Myrle E. Schatz, 79, of 109 Lancaster Estates, Mount Joy, passed away on Saturday, February 3, 2007, at Lancaster General Hospital. She was married to Harold F. Schatz Jr. for 63 years. A homemaker all her life, Myrle was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Mount Joy. She enjoyed cooking, sewing, and taking trips to the mountains at Cowan's Gap and Raystown Lake. Above all, Myrle loved to spend time with her grandchildren and greatgrandchildren. Born in Lebanon, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Mary Williams Sonon. In addition to her husband, Harold, she will be missed by her son, George W., married to Doris Albert Schatz, Mount Joy; her grandchildren, Robin (Scott) Haug, Stacy (Robert) Funk, Hope (Bradley) Barnes, and Shaun (Becky) Schatz; eight great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a son, Harold F. Schatz III; a grandson Kevin Haug; and 12 brothers and sisters. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral at Trinity Lutheran Church, 47 W. Main St., Mount Joy, on Tuesday, February 6, 2007, at 11 a.m. with the Reverend Mike Martine and the Reverend David Klepper officiating. Interment in Mount Joy Cemetery. Friends may call at the Sheetz Funeral Home, 16 E. Main St., Mount Joy, on Monday from 6 until 8 p.m. and again on Tuesday at Trinity Lutheran Church from 10 until 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Myrle's name may be made to Hospice of Lancaster County, P.
