Richard Copier "Rock" Richard "Rock" Copier age 58 passed away peacefully at his home on February 25, after battling health issues.
He was born on August 19, 1951 in Salt Lake City to Govert and Frederika Copier. Rick married Sherrie Tucker on January 23, 1971 and later divorced. He graduated from Granite High School in 1969, where he excelled in wrestling and loved all sports.
He spent many years playing recreational softball, eventually winning MVP in the National Qualifying Tournament. He loved playing all sports with friends and his siblings. Survived by his daughter JoAnna (Aaron) Meyer, grandchildren Chase, Breanna, Zachary, Megan and Cooper, parents Govert and Frederika Copier, siblings John (Wanda), Govert, Jean (Gordon) Jolley, Fred (Judy), Marsha (Ron) Vandermyde, Dave (Pam), Sandy (Glenn) Neill, Shirley (Greg) Hill, Steve (Jane), Joyce. Preceded in death by a brother Ron. Services will be held on Thursday March 4, 2010 at Noah's, 322 West 11000 South, South Jordan. Friends may pay respects at 3:00. Memorial service begins at 3:30, family dinner to follow.
