STURGIS -- Margaret Dempsey, 86, Sturgis, died at 10:45 p.m. Friday, Jan. 8, 2010, at her home.
She was a member of Sturgis Missionary Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ed Dempsey, who died in 2009; and her parents, Dan and Rose Cornwell.
Survivors include two daughters, Cathy Smith of Sturgis and Shirley Stewart of Madisonville; one son, Danny Dempsey of Sturgis; two sisters, Beverly June Gray of Smith Mills and Gladys Snyder of Sturgis; one brother, Raymond Cornwell of Morganfield; eight grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 3 p.m. Monday at Sturgis Missionary Baptist Church. The Rev. Don Davis will officiate. Burial will be in Pythian Ridge Cemetery in Sturgis.
Friends may call from 3 to 8 p.m. today at Whitsell Funeral Home in Morganfield and after 1 p.m. Monday at the church.
