Funeral services were help last Friday at the St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Stickney for O.E.Jacobs, who died early Tuesday morning of a heart attach at his home in Baker township. The Rev. R.C. Anderson officiated. Interment was in the Silver Ridge Cemetery.

Ocie Elmer Jacobs was born Feb 22,1880 in Blackhawk County, IA. As a small child he moved with his parents to Nebraska where he grew to manhood. Later he moved to South Dakota.

He was baptized in the Lutheran Faith.

On Oct 9, 1901 was married to Effie Lavina McClory. To this union was born four sons and six daughters. One son and one daughter preceded him in death.

He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Effie Jacobs: 3 sons John of Plankinton, Elmer of White Lake, and Cloyd of Sioux Falls. Five daughters: Fern Bertram of Plankinton, Eileen Eggers of Corsica, Myrtle Ensminger of Columbus, NE; Della Herbst of Mr Vernon, and Frances Hohn of Ethan; three brothers and five sisters, and 30 grandchildren.

Four brothers and his parents also preceded him in death.
