Jasper F. Detherow, 93, of Ivanhoe, Calif., died Saturday, Mrch 3, in a Tulare Hospital. Detherow was a native of Marshfield and attended schools here. He married the late Nora Deckard in 1918 in Missouri. The couple moved to Woodlake that same year. In 1922, the couple moved back to Missouri, and returned to Ivanhoe in 1936.
He is survived by two sons, Howard Detherow of Lindsay and Lloyd Detherow of Marshfield; one daughter, Eula Bowman of Grover City; one brother, Jake Detherow of Greensburg, Kans.; six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held in 2:30 p.m. last Wednesday in the Miller Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Ernest J. Kumpe officiating. Burial was in the Visalia Cemetery.
