UPDATE: 4 Nov 2019 Cindy, glad you found the clarification on how he died but sorry that he was found lying in a ditch. At any rate, I beat the breast cancer thankfully so will you please remove my note from the BIO. I am afraid it is confusing to have all that information. Thank you!

UPDATE: 26 Apr 2018 I am convinced that the entry for Johan Hans Jacob Braun is not the one from Niedermohr as indicated in notes and links to other family.

This is because this death record has been found for the one from Niedermohr:
1731: On the 22nd of May, Johann Jacob Braun was found dead in a ditch near Obermohr, the reason for this [read: his death] unknown, and was buried on the 24th on the [holy ?] churchyard, had lived in Niedermohr, of his profession a smith, born in Reitling [believed to be an old form of "Reutlingen"] in Wurttemberg."

Thank You, Cindy!!

Hi Carole, saw your note on Johan Hans "Jacob" and wanted to tell you that we literally lucked into finding this information on a trip to Germany in the fall of 2015. I am just now getting all that information added to ancestry.com and Find A Grave since my cancer diagnosis was 2 months after we got home from that trip. We happened into the cemetery while the caretaker's office was opened so we had someone there to check the burial records written in German for us and then translate them into English since neither of us speak German. According to the office, there is no published list of burials there or written guide to the graves. We were unable to find a tombstone for either Bruan or his wife but we were warned that many of the old tombstones did not survive the bombings in WWII. we took this young man at his word since there is no published grave listing and I strongly suggested to him that the cemetery try to find someone to catalog and publish the records they have.
