She married Laurence Lange on June 12, 1943.
Survivors of the immediate family include her husband; two daughters and sons-in-law, Marietta "Marty" and Vernon Lueck of Grand Island, and Jacque and Dale Sybrant of Bassett; a son and daughter-in-law, Gregory and Wanda Lange of Lakewood, Wash.; a brother and sister-in-law, Harold and Delores Ammon of Bassett; and a sister, Lucille Hopkins of Stuart.
Other survivors include a sister-in-law, Elenor Ammon of Bassett; grandchildren and their spouses, Shawn and Darcy Lueck, Mindy and Jason Weaver, Chad and Julie Sybrant, Colby and Jodi Sybrant, Teresa and Steve Wiiest, Jina and Jeff Olson; a stepgrandchild and spouse, Laura and Jay Johnson; and 12 great-grandchildren.
Marie was raised on a ranch near Bassett. She received her primary education from Rock County High School. She then went on to graduate from Chadron State College. Following college, she taught at a rural country school.
Following their marriage the Langes settled on a farm near Sutton. They moved to Ainsworth, Plainview, Atkinson, Neligh, Hartington, Loup City and Walthill, moving to Grand Island in the early 1970s.
Marie is a member of Faith United Methodist, Order of the Eastern Star, Happy Wonders Camping Club and enjoyed playing bridge and spending time with her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Raymond.
