Cincinnati, son of Thomas Hall, living at Menard between Tahlequah and Fort Gibson, was on Thursday morning last, about 7 o'clock, bitten very severely by a mad dog. The boy was brought to this place immediately after having been bit, to have the mad stone applied. There is little occasion to have any fear of the boy not getting over the bite all right. Mr. Thomas Hall, visited our office last Monday, he is now [advo]cating lead and gold mining throughout the Nation, and will no doubt strike it rich before the leaves turn green. Tom Hall says he intends to go to Mexico shortly for the purpose of purchasing a tract of land for the intermarried whites of the Cherokee Nation, as he is convinced that they will not get any land here. Tom is a good one and is always ready to get off a good joke. (The Cherokee Advocate, Tahlequah, Indian Territory, July 15, 1905.)
