Frank H. Gast, 92, Chickasaw, died Monday morning in Otis Hospital, Celina, of complications. He was a barber in San Francisco, Calif., before retirement in 1952 when he returned to Chickasaw. He was born April 10, 1877 to Henry and Elizabeth Schwieterman Gast. He was married to Genevieve Cleversahl who is deceased. They had no children. Surviving him are a sister, Mrs. Isabelle Knapke; a brother Henry Gast, and a brother-in-law, Edward McGill, Chickasaw, with whom he lived. Two brothers and one sister are deceased. The Rev. Fr. Cletus Dirksen will conduct funeral services Thursday at 10 a.m. in the Precious Blood Catholic Church, Chickasaw. Burial will be in the church cemetery. (Obituary contributed by Jim)
